And boy did I unleash something when I allowed my 2 year old have some gum. She has always been pretty curious about it asking what it is and if she can have some. I thought this campaign would be a great excuse to see what would happen. 

Needless to say giving her a piece of the new Trident splashing fruit gum sparked the fun. I was not hesistent to allow her to have some because Trident cleans and protects teeth and it is also sugar free.

It was so cute seeing her chew the gum and try to make "bubbles" she did a pretty good job. I told she can have the gum but we don't eat it we chew and chew and then toss it. Every so often I would ask her where is your chicle to make sure that she did not swallow it. I think she may have dropped it a couple of times though lol

Sofia Vergara’s Emmys Look by Kayleen McAdams 

I started by applying NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg #360<http://www.covergirl.com/natureluxesilkfoundation> all over the face and blended into the neck. I then used TruConceal #4<http://www.covergirl.com/truconcealconcealer> under the eyes, around the nose and on any spots where needed. I finished with a light dusting of Clean Pressed Powder in Soft Honey<http://www.covergirl.com/cleanpressedpowder-normalskin> and Cheekers Blush in Sierra Sands<http://www.covergirl.com/cheekersblush> to set the base.

On the eyes, I started by applying Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Brown Smolder<http://www.covergirl.com/eye-enhancers-1kitshadows> all over the lid and followed that with the Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Espresso<http://www.covergirl.com/perfectpointpluseyeliner> just at the root of the lashes. I also used Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Espresso<http://www.covergirl.com/perfectpointpluseyeliner> on the bottom lashes and set that liner with Queen Collection 1-Kit Shadow in Copper Penny<http://www.covergirl.com/queencollection-1kiteyeshadows>. I applied three coats of LashBlast Volume Mascara<http://www.covergirl.com/lashblast-volume-mascara> on both the top and bottom lashes to lengthen and add volume.

Sofia and I wanted to do something different on her lips, so we chose a shade that she never used before – and we loved the change. I tried tons of different lipsticks on my arm! We looked them all over and tried three different shades before finding the perfect one. I wanted the lip to look like caramel, so I added a little gloss. I filled in Sofia’s lips with LipPerfection Lip Color in Captivate<http://www.covergirl.com/lipperfectionlipcolor>, and then went back over the edge of the lips with LipPerfection Lip Liner in Smoky<http://www.covergirl.com/lipperfectionlipliner> to fill them out and keep her lipstick in place. I topped it all off with Queen Collection Lip Gloss in Sugar and Spice<http://www.covergirl.com/queencollection-lipgloss> just in the center of the lips.

To keep Sofia’s look fresh all night, I gave her powder, lipstick, lip liner and gloss to keep in her purse. Sofia can’t live without LashBlast Volume Mascara<http://www.covergirl.com/lashblast-volume-mascara>, so I also keep my kit well stocked with extras.

El Emmy look de Sofía Vergara por Kayleen McAdams

La inspiración para el look de Sofía era chocolate y caramelo! Sus ojos marrones con tonos Chocolate y  labios color caramelo. Con un vestido como el que ella lucia, quería que su maquillaje le diera un toque delicioso y sexy.

Empecé por aplicar la base de NatureLuxe Silk Foundation en Nutmeg #360 en toda la cara y extendiéndola  por el cuello. Luego utilicé  TruConceal º 4 debajo de los ojos, la nariz y en cualquier punto donde fuese necesario. Terminé con una fina capa de polvo Clean Pressed Powder en tono Honey Soft y luego apliqué rubor Cheekers Blush en Sierra Sands para fijar la base.

En los ojos, comencé aplicando las sombras Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow en tono marrón Brown Smolder  en todo el párpado y seguí con el delineador  Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner en Espresso  justo en la línea de las pestañas y también utilicé Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner en  Espresso en las pestañas inferiores y apliqué un poco de la colección Queen Collection 1-Kit Shadow en Copper Penny. Luego le coloqué tres capas de rimel LashBlast Volume Mascara  en la parte superior e inferior  de las pestañas para alargar y dar volumen.

Sofía y yo queríamos hacer algo diferente con sus labios, así que elegimos un tono que nunca había usado antes - y nos encantó el cambio. Intenté un montón de diferentes colores de labios en mi brazo! Los probamos para ver como se veían y traté tres tonos diferentes en los labios de Sofía  antes de encontrar el perfecto. Quería que el labio pareciera como si fuera caramelo, por lo que añadí un poco de brillo. Rellené los labios con el color de labios  LipPerfection en Captivate y luego volví a aplicar sobre el borde de los labios el Lip Liner LipPerfection en Smoky  para llenar y mantener el lápiz de labios en su sitio. Para terminar apliqué  Queen Collection Lip Gloss en tonosSugar & Spice  justo en el centro de los labios.

Para mantener look de Sofía fresco toda la noche, le di para que llevara en su cartera el polvo, lápiz labial, delineador de labios y brillo. Sofía no puede vivir sin  LashBlast Volume Mascara, por lo que siempre mantengo mi kit bien equipado con extras.

I don’t know about you but my photos are very meaningful to me all of my memories especially those of my daughter are precious moments that if lost we can never get back. Siempre y cuando combines los colores neón con tonos de beige y colores intensos típicos de otoño como naranja, verde y amarillo. I would not be able to do all the things that I do if it was not for all of the help my husband provides. We are truly a team and take dividng tasks and responsibilities seriously. We both rely on eachother so much which makes parenting and running a household easier for the both of us.

I sat down and “interviewed” my husband on how he deals with the stresses and messes of being a parent.

“I try to make sure my daughter is always calmed, relaxed and happy if she is in a pleasant mood then I will be as well. I also like to go to the gym as often as I can it is a great way to keep in shape and let out some stress of the day, be it from home or work. Music really puts me at ease. No matter what the situation I turn on my iPod and play a few tunes to relax and in a way escape from the day to day head aches or challenges. Singing along to the music or dancing with my daughter is both fun and entertaining for the both of us. I not only get to spend time with her but it also soothes us and makes for a light hearted moment I get to share with her. I also learned from my wife, Alicia to keep Huggies wipes handy!"

I know  I am super duper late with this post but I wanted to post "recipes" more often so I thought that I would catch up first. I found this Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds recipe on Pinterest I am not sure about you but I actually like to try some of the things I pin especially recipes.

However I do modify them adding or removing seasoning at times. For this recipe I substituted the potatoes out with sweet potatoes for a "healthier" version. They were great and I was happy with the result. Click on image below to be taken to the recipe.

Yesterday my husband I got back from the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, if you've never been you should visit. It makes for a great relaxing family vacation.

We got home with enough time to go to church but I took a nap and overslept. I did wake up though in time to attend a fundraiser my father had put together and was hosting in Newark, NJ. It was in honor of a good long time friend of his who had to undergo open heart surgery. There were raffles, a DJ, a live repercussion band and a whole pig was roasted in hopes of raising funds to help pay of the medical bills. The first signs of Fall began to show yesterday, the day was sunny but had a nice cool breeze. I decided to go with my striped knitted dress. The last time I wore it was for OOTN - Jess' Birthday. This time I accessorized with a light weight floral scarf and played up the yellow in it. 

You'll also notice my natural hair is back. While I had lots fun with the weaves as protective styles I missed my curly fro. We ended our day at a friend's house with taco's and flan. Had a great week and week end thank God!

Ayer mi marido y regresamos de las montañas Pocono, en Pennsylvania, si usted nunca ha estado debes de visitar. Pasaran unas vacaciones muy relajadas en familia

Llegamos a casa con el tiempo suficiente para ir a la iglesia, pero me tomé una siesta y me quede dormida. Pero yo me desperté con a tiempo para asistir a un evento para recaudar fondos que mi padre creo y tambien animo en Newark, NJ. Fue en honor de un buen amigo de largo tiempo, cual tuvo que someterse a una cirugía de corazón abierto. Habian bebidas, un DJ, una banda de repercusión en vivo y un cerdo entero asado con la esperanza de recaudar fondos para ayudar a pagar las facturas médicas. Si usted siente el deseo de donar a la causa por favor siéntase libre de usar mi botón de donar.

Las primeras señales de la otoño comenzó a mostrar se ayer, el día fue soleado, pero había una brisa fresca y agradable. Me decidí poner un vestido de rayas de punto. La última vez que lo usó fue para OOTN - Jess' Birthday. Esta vez acompañado con una bufanda floral de peso ligero y sace jugué con los tonos amarillos.

También te darás cuenta mi pelo natural está de vuelta. Aunque me he divertido mucho con las extenciones como estilos de protección me hacia falta mi pajon rizado. Terminamos nuestro día en casa de unas amistades con tacos y el flan. Tuvimos una gran semana y fin de semana gracias a Dios!
