My skin care routine is pretty basic. My skin; although very taut, smooth and youthful in appearance is still very prone to acne. For the most part I use a drug store facial cleanser with an acne treatment as a main ingredient as well as a drug store 2 in 1 daily lotion that will treat both acne and wrinkles. Since I am approaching my thirties, I feel that it is important to begin to fight wrinkles early on aiding in prevention.
My nemesis if you remember from another post is hyper pigmentation. While acne break outs are few I’m left with a dark mark or also known as acne scaring. Due to this I have always felt a tad self-conscious but never anything less than beautiful. I didn’t start using foundation until just a few years ago. I have always loved makeup and would do up my eyes but apart from bronzer; blush and concealer came along not too long ago.
Up until then I would simply show my face bare dark spots & all, now I rely on concealer and foundation when I know I will be photographed. Other than that I do not use make up daily, I definitely skip it when I go to church since I always tend to cry. When I was working I wouldn’t wear makeup everyday either. I don’t use it often but tinted moisturizer along with a great lip gloss is a nice alternative to a made up face.
