Remember that Spring Luncheon I posted about not too long ago? Well this is what I wore. I had been wanting to try the popular 90's trend of wearing a shirt tied around your waist and the Spring Fling Party was the perfect event to give it a try. I think I pulled it off and here are the 3 ways I made this trend work.
By now many of you have already seen my How to Wear White Jeans: Spring LookBook 1 or even had the chance to read a few tips I shared on El Diario NY if you did then you have seen this outfit. This look is casual Friday ready followed by happy hour or an evening of shopping at the mall with a change into flats.
Nothing screams classic Americana like a fresh Chambray button down top and a crisp pair of pair of white jeans!
Hi! So here are the details for look one of my white jeans lookbook. For this first look I kept it nice and casual but added a little flair with the sequin beret. White jeans are pretty much like any other bottom, there is no need to fret when thinking of wearing a pair.
Now that Spring is only a few short days away it is official safe to wear white jeans without having to worry about snow, slush or plows ruining them.
There are an endless amount of ways to wear white jeans, in this fun lookbook I have put together, I will be sharing 4 outfits using two different pairs of white jeans. Let me know what you think in the comments!
I am a big fan of jeans and blazers, when I saw these mustard skinny jeans at JCPenney on sale I had to grab a pair. I hate trying things on in a store, the whole act of dressing and undressing in a small confined place with hot bright lights gives me anxiety and makes me sweat. Not to mention that those fitting rooms always find a way to bring out the worst in you.
To begin dressing your straight shape before anything you first must know that you fall under banana shape and know what that means. You can use this body type calculator if you aren't sure. You may have also seen it on the Chica Fashion Facebook Fanpage.
Banana, or straight (rectangular) shaped women's waist measurement is less than 9 inches smaller than thier hip or bust measurement.
I personally fall under this category because my waist is about two- three inches too big other wise I would fall under hourglass. I will give you a few tips on how to dress your shape to make it appear more curvy and flattering.
I love the color mustard yellow and it is really big for Fall (not that I want you to follow every trend that comes out) if you have been afraid to give it a try, I suggest you give it a go.
Using three different styles of skirts in mustard yellow, I have put together three looks that you can try for any occasion even for Thanksgiving.

A Romantic Look
I find rompers so cute, they almost take me back to my childhood; summer time in the park with my daddy wearing some jelly sandals.
Don't let that infantile appearance fool you. Rompers have the ability to bring on the sexy. Below I will show you how to wear a romper in both a day look and a night look...
For those of you who follow me on twitter and actually read my tweets, you know how I have been longing for a sequin blazer.
I found two possible options, however one is a Garcia Sequin Blazer $88 and the other is a Kensie Jaket at$99.99.
Now to some that may sound pretty reasonable or maybe inexpensive. However, for me, a budget fashionista that is out of the price range I was willing to spend. I do give myself a free pass every now and then for a splurge Item and I think that this sequin blazer maybe it.
Of course, I will try to save as much as I can which is why I may go with the $99.99 Kensie Jacket, Three Quarter Sleeve Sequined Blazer from Macy’s. It is marked down from $128 and I will be using a coupon! Hopefully a 20% off and if I can locate it at one of my local Macy's I won't have to pay for shipping.
What is with my latest obsession, a sequin blazer? Oh, I don’t know maybe that It can be either dressed up or down and that the possibilities are endless.
Here is my take on 4 likely ways that I will be rocking this blazer…
The first look: banded sparkle mini, shiny tank body suit, over the knee boots and gold accessories
The second look: satin sheen military shorts, luminescent tank, high heel strappy sandal, with pewter accessories
The third look: stretch skinny pants in sliver, lace racer-back tank, peep-toe booties and black accessories.
The fourth look: Jersey tank slip dress in olive, lace front peep-toe bootie with gold accessories.
Need less to say all will be finished off with the Sequin Blazer!
